Chris Hemsworth in talks to star in 'Transformers' and 'G.I. Joe' crossover movie

This would be his second role, following his voice acting as Optimus Prime in the animated film "Transformers One."

Chris Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is in talks to star in the upcoming crossover movie between the "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" franchises. The crossover was first teased in last year's "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" and officially confirmed at CinemaCon by Paramount.

The film will follow Anthony Ramos' character Noah as he transitions from an unemployed individual to joining the elite G.I. Joes after saving the world with the Autobots. This crossover marks the first time the two iconic '80s brands will unite on the big screen, although they have previously crossed paths in Marvel comics.

This would be Hemsworth's second involvement with the "Transformers" franchise, as he is already voicing a young Optimus Prime in the animated film "Transformers One," set to release in September.

The crossover movie will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto, and Don Murphy, with Steven Spielberg and Hasbro Entertainment executive producing.
