Fans mock convicted Donald Trump, labeling him “Home Alone 2 extra”
Former U.S. President Donald Trump was convicted of 34 charges in his New York court case involving Porn star Stormy Daniels and the hush money he paid to her through his business. Prosecutors claimed these payments unlawfully influenced the 2016 election.
After the guilty verdict, fans have been relentlessly mocking the disgraced business mogul, calling him an "extra from Home Alone."
A key recurring theme in the Home Alone franchise (apart from always doing a head count) is that crime doesn't pay. This is a lesson the former star of "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" has now learned the hard way.
The conviction could signal the end of Trump’s lengthy cameo career, which started in 1989 with his appearance in the music video for "On Our Own" by repeatedly convicted felon Bobby Brown.
Donald Trump’s Cameos
Before becoming president, Trump made cameo appearances in several TV shows and films, portraying himself in productions such as “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Sex and the City,” “The Little Rascals,” and “Zoolander.”
One of his most notable cameos, though, is his brief four-second scene in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” where he guides young Kevin McCallister to the check-in desk at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time. He frequently insisted on making cameo appearances a requirement for allowing filming in his properties.
In the coming weeks, the convicted felon will prepare for his appeal process and the Republican National Convention. Details about his sentencing, potential jail time or probation, and other felony charges across the country are also set to be revealed soon.
