PTI lawyers booked for assaulting Manika

An FIR has been registered at Ramna Police Station against Naeem Haider Panjhota, Ijaz Buttar, and other PTI lawyers for allegedly torturing Khawar Manika in an Islamabad court. The case includes provisions for terrorism.

According to The Express Tribune, Khawar Manika was attacked by PTI lawyers the other day. PTI lawyers allegedly punched Khawar Manika. The incident occurred during Imran Khan’s Iddat case proceedings. The case was registered on Thursday.

Inspector Imtiaz Ahmed filed the report, stating that PTI lawyers and some unknown individuals gathered outside the courtroom, shouting slogans. When Khawar Manika exited the courtroom, PTI lawyer Advocate Barki allegedly threatened him, saying they would not let him live after testifying against Imran Khan. Advocate Barki then punched Khawar Manika in the neck, followed by additional punches from Advocate Naeem Panjhota and Ijaz Buttar.

PTI lawyers reportedly stopped Khawar Manika and his associates, continuing to kick and punch them. They also attempted to seize a weapon from a police officer, which was recovered with great difficulty. The PTI lawyers additionally assaulted police officers during the incident.
