Gypsy-Rose Blanchard breaks down Ken Urker - Ryan Anderson love triangle
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has had an on-and-off relationship with her current partner Ken Urker, even marrying her former partner Ryan Anderson in between.
People Magazine interviewed Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, the former inmate and well-known survivor of Munchausen by proxy, about reconnecting with her former fiancé Ken Urker amid what she termed a "heartbreaking" divorce from Ryan Anderson.
During her prison sentence for her involvement in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard's murder, Blanchard was romantically involved with Urker, initially connecting as pen pals.
He proposed in 2018, and although their relationship had its ups and downs, it had ended years before her release from prison in 2023. However, they have since rekindled their romance.
"Love looks like spending time and feeling your complete self with another person," said Blanchard. "It's so cliché but it gives you wings."
That's how she feels with Urker now, following the collapse of her marriage to Anderson in March, whom she wed behind bars in 2022.
A friend of Gypsy-Rose previously told People Magazine that the breakup occurred after a serious argument, with Gypsy-Rose feeling her husband was "controlling." Anderson has denied these allegations.
Urker was first seen with Blanchard again in late April. "Ken and I reconnected as friends," she explains. "It wasn't like, jump out of a marriage and then let me meet up with you, and boom, we're in a relationship."
Anderson had concerns about the Gypsy-Rose's friendship with Urker. A recently released trailer for the upcoming docuseries shows Ken's continued presence in her life being a point of contention.
"Then I let myself open up to the feelings that I've always had for Ken. Those feelings just don't die."
She coniued, "I would say that Ken is my first love because that's when I honestly felt like a mature love. It wasn't based off of a fantasy. It was actually based on a connection that two people have for each other."
She said she is excited for fans to witness their relationship develop on the new docuseries, which premieres on Lifetime on June 3 at 9 p.m. ET, revealing that Urker will be featured.
