RAWALPINDI:

Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge Malik Ejaz Asif conducted the hearing of 14 cases related to the May 9 incident at Adiala Jail, involving PTI founder Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and 500 other accused.  The court adjourned the hearing until June 12.

During the hearing, Imran requested permission to speak with his sons over the phone, a weekly meeting with his wife, Bushra Bibi, and blood tests for Bushra to be conducted at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, a hospital founded by Imran.

Advocate Muhammad Faisal Malik filed these requests on behalf of the PTI founder, and the court issued notices to the prosecution. The hearing on these requests is scheduled for May 30.

After the hearing, PTI leader Azam Swati spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail, expressing his disappointment that the media was not allowed inside the courtroom. He stated that the PTI founder had asked the court to permit media presence during the proceedings.
