Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman spill the 'Secret Sauce' of their 17-year bromance.

Ryan Reynolds likened their bond to a marriage: 'Not too dissimilar to having a partner or a marriage’

In an exclusive cover story by PEOPLE magazine, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, celebrated for their roles as Deadpool and Wolverine respectively, opened up about their enduring 17-year friendship. Reynolds, 47, and Jackman, 55, shared insights into their bond, emphasizing the depth of their friendship and providing readers with quotes from their interview.

Jackman echoed Reynolds' sentiments, emphasizing the trust and openness they share, particularly during their walks together. He stated, "There's probably fewer friends in our life that you can say anything to, the stuff you're ashamed, embarrassed, anything.”

Reflecting on their initial encounter in 2008 on the set of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Reynolds recalled Jackman's unexpected warmth, saying, "Just the fact that you knew my name meant so much to me." Jackman reciprocated the sentiment, reminiscing about Reynolds' nervousness and expressing admiration for his dedication and talent.

Regarding the upcoming project, "Deadpool & Wolverine," Reynolds praised Jackman's commitment to the physically demanding role, noting, "When Hugh Jackman is coming at you at 150 Australian miles per hour, you feel like there's no way you're not going to be dead in four seconds."

He also humorously remarked on the intensity of the action sequences, stating, "And thank God I'm in a mask, because under the mask my face is going, 'Oh God!'"
