Kate Middleton spotted out and about amid cancer treatment
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been seen out and about with her family and running errands as she continues to undergo cancer treatment. The 42-year-old royal has remained largely out of the public eye since announcing her diagnosis in March, but sources confirm to DailyMail that she is doing well and is being kept updated on her royal duties.
Buckingham Palace has received an outpouring of support for the princess, with tens of thousands of well-wishes sent via letters and gifts. On May 20, a new report was published by the Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood, an initiative spearheaded by Princess Kate that encourages businesses to create supportive environments for parents and children. While the princess has been kept informed of the project's progress, she is not expected to return to work until given the all-clear by her medical team.
Prince William shared a positive update on his wife's health during a recent visit to a hospital, stating that she is doing well and their children are "very jealous" that they couldn't join him. Although Princess Kate is prioritising her recovery, she may attend events when she feels able.
A former palace spokesperson expressed to PEOPLE that she has confidence in the princess's resilience and support system, stating that she will likely return "even more passionate" about her royal duties once she has made a full recovery. The royal family is currently on a school break, and while they typically take time off during this period, this year is particularly focused on Kate's recovery.
Prince William has postponed most outings until the U.K.'s general election in July, but their 10-year-old son, Prince George, recently joined him at the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
