Patrick Mahomes is a “proud dad” after daughter Sterling sleeps next to basketball

Brittany Mahomes posted a picture of the moment on Instagram, writing, “Her dad is proud.”

Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL star Patrick Mahomes, captured a tender moment when their 3-year-old daughter Sterling Skye fell asleep clutching a basketball. 

The proud mother shared the adorable image on her Instagram Stories on Monday, May 27, revealing that Sterling had fallen asleep while snuggling with the ball. 

“This girl legit fell asleep tonight snuggling her basketball… 🥹 Her dad is proud 😂 @patrickmahomes,” Brittany posted, alongside an image of Sterling sleeping peacefully, monitored via a bedroom camera.

The sporting spirit seems to run in the family. Not only does Sterling show a budding interest in basketball, but her younger brother, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, also appears to share a keen enthusiasm for sports. 

At just 17 months old, Bronze was featured in a March Instagram video where he was visibly excited watching an NCAA basketball game between the Oregon Ducks and South Carolina Gamecocks. 

“This kid loves ball 😂,” commented Brittany, co-owner of Kansas City Current, capturing her son's gleeful reactions during the game.

Moreover, during a recent family vacation, a video showed Bronze tightly gripping a football, with his father, also 28, looking on with pride. “This dude just wants to hold on to the football and not let go,” Brittany remarked in the charming clip.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, the Mahomes family also enjoyed some golf. While on the green, Bronze, dressed in a white Adidas T-shirt and light gray shorts, experimented with a golf club. 

Sterling, donning a blue princess dress and styled with a white bow in her hair, playfully raked a bunker. 

Brittany playfully interacted with her children, calling out, “Hey, golfer boy,” to Bronze and asking Sterling, “Sterling, what are you doing? I mean, Princess Elsa, what are you doing?” To which Sterling responded, “I’m trying to rake.”
