RAWALPINDI:

 The JIT on Saturday interrogated former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi regarding the cases registered in Lahore concerning his alleged involvement in the May 9 riots.

The JIT, led by SP Shahzad, conducted a three-hour investigation before departing for Lahore.

Sources within the jail reported that the JIT team included DSP Muhammad Usman, Inspector Malik, Inspector Muhammad Aleem, and Inspector Nadeem.

Qureshi was moved from his cell to the conference room for the interrogation.

During the three-hour session, the JIT questioned Qureshi on various cases related to the May 9 incidents and obtained his signatures on necessary documents.
