South Park: The End of Obesity delivers satirical punch at Ozempic users and Lizzo
"South Park: The End of Obesity”, a TV special by the show’s creators, is currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
In the newest installment of the animated comedy series recognized for its satirical approach to contemporary events, popular culture, and societal matters, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone intensified their critiques of pop culture icons in the extended "Ozempic" episode, released on May 24.
"The End of Obesity" isn't solely focused on Ozempic and its users; it also tackles every aspect of the obesity treatment industry, alongside unexpected targets who likely didn't anticipate being satirized on "South Park" when the special was surprise-announced earlier this month.
Lizzo
Toward the end of last year, unsettling reports surfaced regarding Lizzo mistreating her backup dancers, tarnishing the reputation of the plus-sized singer from Minnesota as a symbol of positivity.
In "The End of Obesity," Lizzo is portrayed not only as a bad employer but also as the alternative obesity treatment for individuals unable to afford Ozempic. Additionally, her music is humorously depicted as causing explosive diarrhea from the ears, jokingly suggesting that excessive listening could lead to "diabearties."
