Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi secretly wed in private ceremony

They tied the knot in a low-key ceremony last weekend, with plans for a larger celebration later this year.

The Stranger Things actress, 20, and the model, 22, son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, exchanged vows in a private ceremony last weekend, PEOPLE has confirmed.

According to The Sun, the intimate affair was attended by close family, including both sets of parents. A source described the wedding as "a very low-key, romantic affair." The couple reportedly plans to host a larger celebration later this year.

Brown and Bongiovi's love story began on Instagram, blossoming from friendship into romance in 2021. The couple made their relationship public with a hand-in-hand stroll in New York City and graced numerous red carpets together, including the BAFTAs and the Stranger Things season 4 premiere.

Bongiovi proposed in April 2023, with Brown sharing the happy news on Instagram alongside a Taylor Swift lyric: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want'em all 🤍."

Jon Bon Jovi expressed his support for the young couple, praising Millie as "wonderful" and affirming his son's happiness.

In the lead-up to the wedding, Brown shared her excitement about planning while emphasizing her desire to keep the details private. Stranger Things costar Matthew Modine, who officiated the ceremony, revealed he wrote the vows for the couple.
