Michael Keaton is back and causing chaos in the afterlife in the first full trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," director Tim Burton's sequel to his beloved 1988 film. Warner Bros. has released the trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up, set to hit theatres on September 6th.
The trailer features Keaton in his iconic striped suit, reprising his role as the mischievous and unpredictable bio-exorcist. He's joined by returning cast members Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz, alongside new additions Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe.
The film centres on Lydia Deetz (Ryder) and her family returning home after a tragedy. When Lydia's daughter, Astrid (Ortega), inadvertently opens a portal to the afterlife, the family must face the consequences and turn to Beetlejuice for help.
The teaser trailer for "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" debuted in March, featuring Keaton's iconic line, "The juice is loose." The full trailer offers a deeper dive into the film's plot and humor, promising a return to the quirky and macabre world of the original.
