Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that his Wrexham AFC co-chairman, Rob McElhenney, will have a cameo in the upcoming Deadpool 3. The revelation came during a new episode of their documentary series, Welcome to Wrexham, which premiered on May 23.

Reynolds playfully explained how McElhenney landed the role, stating that he had to invite him to the London set to discuss Wrexham matters due to his busy schedule. To sweeten the deal, Reynolds offered him a cameo in the highly anticipated superhero film. However, the specific character McElhenney will portray remains a mystery, with Reynolds citing concerns about being "shot down by the Marvel drone" that constantly monitors him.

In the episode, the scene featuring McElhenney on the Deadpool set was heavily censored for confidentiality reasons. The only details revealed were that he wore an oversized jacket to conceal his costume and made lighthearted jokes about the experience.

The episode also showcased Wrexham AFC's recent victories, goalie Arthur Okonkwo's return from injury, and a heartwarming celebration of longtime fan Arthur Massey's 100th birthday.

Welcome to Wrexham continues to offer an engaging look into the world of football and the unique camaraderie between Reynolds, McElhenney, and the Wrexham community.
