Tiffany Haddish is celebrating her newfound sobriety and the positive impact it has had on her life. The 44-year-old comedian recently shared an update with Extra's Terri Seymour, revealing that she has been sober since her arrest for a suspected DUI in November.

Haddish jokingly mentioned one exception to her no-alcohol rule: "Unless I get engaged. Then I just want him to see how crazy I am just for one day."

She expressed how much better she feels physically and mentally since giving up alcohol. "It feels good to wake up and my elbows ain't aching. My knees ain't burning. The crooks of my ankles ain't on fire, you know, there's no inflammation."

In February, Haddish pleaded no contest to reckless driving stemming from her November arrest, and the misdemeanour charges against her were dropped.

During an interview with PEOPLE last month about her memoir, "I Curse You with Joy," Haddish shared that she had been sober since her arrest and encouraged others to try giving up alcohol for six months to see the positive changes it could bring to their lives.

She also mentioned that in addition to sobriety, she has been celibate and has eliminated negative people from her life. Haddish credits these changes for her newfound joy and happiness.
