Kim Kardashian responds to rumored Anna Wintour tension at Victoria Beckham's fashion show
In the Season 5 premiere of Hulu’s "The Kardashians," Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner faced the universal dilemma of traffic congestion.
While en route to Victoria Beckham's show at Paris Fashion Week, where Kendall Jenner was set to walk, the duo found themselves stuck in a frustrating traffic jam.
Kris Jenner shared their predicament during a confessional, highlighting the stress of the situation, "We are in this crush of traffic. We know we’re gonna be late. We feel terrible,” she said.
Despite the urgency, Kim decided against informing Beckham of their delay.
The fashion show commenced while Kim and Kris were still en route, intensifying Kim's anxiety about punctuality, which she later expressed in her own confessional. "The car ride took us an hour, so we’re 20 minutes late to the show,” Kim disclosed.
"I’m not late like that. I’m very respectful of people’s time and I feel really bad that we’re late."
Upon arriving, Kim was aware of the potential for negative media coverage, fearing that the delay might be portrayed as a sign of disrespect. "I know what’s gonna come — and for everyone to just start with this story that we held up the show. ‘Who do they think they are? That Anna was mad. That we don’t like each other,’" she explained.
Despite the initial rumors of tension, Kim was seen seated beside Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, dispelling any speculation about a fallout.
Reports confirmed that both enjoyed the show together, chatting amiably throughout the event. This interaction came despite rumors that Wintour had moved away from Kim during the show, which were later debunked by insiders.
