Poland-Pakistan trade surpasses $920m
The Ambassador of Poland, Maciej Pisarski, announced that the overall trade volume between Poland and Pakistan has exceeded $920 million. Pakistan’s exports amounted to $800 million, facilitated by the GSP Plus arrangement granting duty-free access to Pakistani goods in the Polish market. Meanwhile, Poland’s exports to Pakistan totalled $128 million last year.
During a visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Ambassador Pisarski led a high-level trade delegation from Poland. He estressed the importance of leveraging existing potential by facilitating interactions between Polish businesspeople and Pakistani partners. This approach aims to foster future partnerships and enable Polish entrepreneurs to explore opportunities in Pakistan first-hand.
The relationship between Poland and Pakistan, spanning 62 years, has been marked by collaboration and mutual respect. Ambassador Pisarski highlighted the significant potential for further expanding these ties.
Poland boasts the 21st largest economy globally, with a GDP of $1.4 trillion, making it the sixth largest economy in the European Union. He described Poland’s economy as dynamic, innovative, and resilient, citing impressive growth figures. Since 1990, the Polish economy has expanded by 900%, with imports and exports reaching approximately $700 billion this year.
