The Supreme Court has said that the police investigation into the issue of harassment of the journalists is actually damaging their reputation, as it raises nine questions regarding the petition about regulating the media in the country.

The apex court issued its written order on Tuesday on its proceedings on May 13 on the matter of the harassment of journalists. The court asked nine questions on the petition. The court asked on whose direction the application was filed; who appointed the lawyer; and where the application was drafted.
