Relief operations by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (North) are continuing at full pace in the flood-affected areas of Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), including Buner, Shangla, Swat, Mansehra, Battagram, and Bajaur.
Additional army contingents reached the affected regions in the night between Saturday and Sunday and instantly started rescue and relief work. The Engineer Corps' Urban Search and Rescue teams, equipped with specialized tools, are searching for people trapped under debris, while efforts to restore destroyed bridges and blocked routes are also underway.
Despite adverse weather conditions, army helicopters are delivering rations to remote areas and transporting the injured, women, and children to safe locations.
The security forces have also established medical camps in the affected areas where hundreds of patients have so far been provided free medicines and healthcare facilities.
Army teams remain continuously active in the villages of Chorak, Bishnoi, Gokand, Aloch, and Chakesar in Buner, Shangla, and Swat. In Bajaur, restoration of the Jar Bridgelinking the district with Dirand installation of a new bridge are being carried out rapidly to reopen communication routes.
