First look at 'The Smashing Machine' shows Dwayne Johnson like you've never seen him before

Dwayne Johnson looks unrecognizable as a UFC fighter in the upcoming biopic.

The latest glimpse of the upcoming A24 biopic ‘The Smashing Machine’ showcases Dwayne Johnson almost unrecognizable in the lead role.

Johnson portrays former UFC fighter Mark Kerr, delving into his life and wrestling journey.

Directed by Benny Safdie, renowned for his work alongside brother Josh Safdie in films like ‘Uncut Gems’ and ’Good Time,’ the biopic promises a gripping portrayal.

In a recent reveal by A24, a new image captures Johnson in the ring, offering a sneak peek into his portrayal.

The post describes it as a "First look at Benny Safdie’s THE SMASHING MACHINE starring The Rock and Emily Blunt."

The shot, taken from a distance beyond the boxing ring's ropes, features a shirtless Johnson seated within.

With his robust physique and formidable muscles, Johnson embodies the physicality demanded by the role.

Positioned amidst his trainers, Johnson, with a head of dark hair and glistening skin, exudes the essence of Mark Kerr.

Despite the unmistakable presence of Johnson, his extreme transformation renders him almost unrecognizable in this intense portrayal.

A24 has not yet announced a release date for ‘The Smashing Machine.’
