No more vlogging: Ayesha Omar, Mishi Khan laud Shiraz's father for 'excellent parenting'

Child vlogger's father explained reasons as to why his son had to quit

Recently, Mohammad Shiraz, the viral child Pakistani vlogger who captured the hearts of many with his engaging vlogs, announced his departure from YouTube. His "last vlog," shared just five days ago, has left his fans stunned and concerned. In the video, Shiraz mentioned that he would no longer be making vlogs as his father wants him to concentrate on his studies.

Mohammad Taqi, Shiraz's father, recently provided further insight into this decision in a video post. He disclosed that the sudden fame and online popularity began to negatively impact Shiraz's behavior and overall well-being. Taqi observed significant changes in his son's demeanour, noting that Shiraz, who was once known for his kindness and sociability, had become more withdrawn and less respectful in his interactions.

Explaining the same, Taqi stated, "Shiraz had a simple life, he used to speak to people nicely. But the fame had its side effects. He stopped talking to people nicely, or mingling with them. So, I thought I should bring back that old Shiraz."

Taqi's decision to prioritise his son's health and childhood over the allure of online stardom has garnered widespread praise. Among those who commended his move was renowned actress Ayesha Omar. In a heartfelt message on her Instagram story, Omar described Taqi's actions as an example of "excellent parenting."

Omar, however, was not the only entertainment industry star who had thoughts to share on this decision. Mishi Khan, who previously spoke about the perils of childhood fame, also spoke up on the matter. Addressing her previous video which was met with criticism, she reiterated that when a young impressionable child comes to the big city, they're impacted by various factors.

"That is what happened," she said. "His father put up a post saying his behaviour changed." She added, "That is the reason I was against this. Kids shouldn't receive this much limelight." Further addressing naysayers, Mishi maintained that she was absolutely right in her criticism.

Taqi's decision underscores a growing awareness of the potential negative impacts of social media fame, particularly on young children. While platforms like YouTube can offer immense opportunities, they also pose significant risks, especially concerning mental health and personal development.
