America's Got Talent is set to dazzle viewers with a thrilling twist in season 19: each judge will now have two Golden Buzzers at their disposal. This means Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara will each have double the power to send acts straight to the Live Shows. Host Terry Crews will also retain his single Golden Buzzer, bringing the total number of potential golden tickets to a whopping nine.

Crews expressed his excitement over the change, comparing the previous one-buzzer-per-judge rule to running out of Halloween candy for trick-or-treaters. He assured fans that this season, "everyone that needs and deserves" a Golden Buzzer will receive one.

Mandel, known for his enthusiastic reactions, was equally thrilled with the double dose of Golden Buzzer power, calling the season "epic." He reminisced about the initial introduction of the Golden Buzzer, describing it as a powerful tool to express overwhelming admiration for an act.

Even Simon Cowell's 10-year-old son, Eric, has been swept up in the Golden Buzzer frenzy, often questioning his father's decisions and even taking matters into his own hands by pressing the buzzer himself during a recent U.K. episode.

With twice the chances for acts to secure a direct path to the Live Shows, season 19 promises to be a rollercoaster of talent, surprises, and unforgettable Golden Buzzer moments. The new season premieres on NBC on Tuesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming the next day on Peacock.
