PESHAWAR:

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Sunday maintained that to prevent the country from anarchy, the “bogus Form-47 rulers” should step down and hand over the power to the party that “actually” gained the public’s mandate.

Addressing a Gaza million march in Peshawar, the JI chief claimed that the governments that were “imposed” by the western powers were responsible for unrest in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

He also blamed these governments for the “prevailing corruption” in Punjab police and bandits “calling the shots” in Sindh

On the occasion, the JI chief announced that his party would stage a Gaza million march in Karachi on June 2 followed by another one in Islamabad.

He suggested that conference of the heads of anti-Israel countries should be called and they should be given the message that the war on the poor and oppressed people of Palestine must be stopped.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh also addressed the participants of the event virtually.

The JI chief saluted the courage of the Hamas leader and the rest of the Palestinians.

He pointed out that despite facing atrocities at hands of the Zionist forces for seven months, not a single Palestinian had said that they were ready to surrender.

Hafiz Naeem added that the struggle of the people of Palestine was a lesson for the forces of the Muslim world as to how they were defiantly fighting a great global power with the sheer strength of their faith.

The Ji chief called for unity among Muslims, saying that who created divisions among them through fatwas were not their friends.

He added that the JI would unite the Muslims and turn Pakistan into a great country.
