SNL: Sabrina Carpenter performs hit single ‘Espresso’ and changes ‘Nonsense’ outro again
Sabrina Carpenter performed a set of three hit songs for Saturday Night Live's season finale.
The singer not only delivered performances of her chart-topping hits but also showcased her comedic chops in one of the season finale’s skits.
She kicked off her night as Daphne in a wacky Scooby Doo parody before transitioning to the musical portion of the show.
She opened with her hit single, ‘Espresso,’ complete with sleek choreography in a stylish bar setting.
For her second act, Carpenter treated the audience to a medley of ‘Feather’ and ‘Nonsense,’ for which the singer is known to change the outro according to the setting of her performance.
Staying true to form, Carpenter closed the song with a wink to the audience, “He is 30 Rock hard 'cause I said hi. My sense of humor is, but I am not dry. SNL I just came for the first time.”
Notably, the song previously sparked speculation about her current relationship with actor Barry Keoghan.
Fans were eagerly awaiting Carpenter’s appearance on SNL alongside actor Jake Gyllenhaal, both known for their individual connections to Taylor Swift. Gyllenhaal is reportedly the ex-boyfriend Swift sings about in “All Too Well,” while Carpenter was recently an opening act for Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour.’
