Nancy Tyagi, a fashion influencer from Delhi, made her first appearance on the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival wearing a pink ruffled gown with a detailed train, which she designed and crafted herself.

With a YouTube following exceeding 900,000 and an Instagram audience surpassing 800,000, Tyagi revealed that creating the ensemble required more than 1,000 meters of fabric and a full month to complete.

The delicate pink gown featured a strapless bodice adorned with sequins, complemented by elbow-length gloves. Tyagi accessorized her attire with a subtle silver necklace from CaratLane.

At just 22 years old, Nancy has journeyed from her hometown of Baranwa, Uttar Pradesh, to grace the renowned red carpet of the French Riviera.

On Instagram, Nancy posted some behind-the-scenes glimpses of her look, writing:

“Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a debutant feels surreal. I poured my heart and soul into creating this pink gown, which took 30 days, 1000 meters of fabric, and weighed over 20kg. The journey has been intense, but every moment was worth it. I’m overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the love and support from all of you. This is a dream come true, and I hope my creation dazzles you as much as your support has inspired me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

The digital creator's ascent on social media was a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Amidst the lockdown, she initiated filming content featuring her distinct self-stitched and designed creations inspired by high-fashion couture.

She gained popularity by crafting intricate garments from scratch using fabrics obtained from nearby markets.

Tyagi graced the red carpet as a member of the Brut India Squad.
