Saturday Night Live's Chloe Fineman responded to internet trolls who criticised her Cannes Film Festival red carpet outfit.

After facing criticism for her red carpet look at the ‘Megalopolis’ premiere, Fineman took to social media with a simple message: “No need to be so mean! Thank you.”

The backlash stemmed from an Instagram poll where commenters compared Fineman's dress to an unflattering silhouette and made negative remarks about her body.

Fineman, however, seemed unfazed, posting a welcoming note from Celine, the fashion house behind her red dress.

Meanwhile, ‘Megalopolis’ itself is generating mixed buzz. Coppola's ambitious film, boasting a star-studded cast including Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Jeff Goldblum, has some critics calling it epic, while others find it falls short.

Coppola himself funded the 120 million dollar film, which reportedly took four decades to make.
