Sony Pictures has officially announced the return of the iconic slasher franchise, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," with a new film set to release on July 18, 2025. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, known for her work on "Do Revenge" and "Thor: Love and Thunder," is at the helm as director, with a script co-written by herself and Sam Lansky.

The highly anticipated sequel is generating buzz as Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., stars of the original 1997 film, are reportedly in talks to reprise their roles.
