Dua Lipa makes her ACM Awards debut alongside Chris Stapleton

Dua Lipasurprised the audience at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 16. 

The Levitating singer opened up Stapleton’s performance of “Think I’m in Love with You.”

In conversation with Bobby Bones, Dua disclosed that she and Stapelton had “been talking about” this duet “for a little while.” 

“It was my idea,” continued the Dance the Night singer.  "I'm such a fan of Chris',” Lipa added, “and I kind of reached out and was like, ‘Hey, wanna do something together?’ And this came about. I feel so lucky to have been in Chris and Morgane orbit for a few days, just like diving into the musicality of everything. It's just been wonderful,” continued the Grammy-winning pop star. 

Stapleton applauded the Houdini singer saying, “Dua is kind of the queen of feel-good music.”
At the ACM Awards ceremony, Stapleton was awarded for male artist of the year,  artist-songwriter of the year, and album of the year for his project Higher.
