Adam Driver walked the red carpet with filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and co-star Aubrey Plaza at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival to commemorate the global debut of Coppola's new film, "Megalopolis."

Driver plays the lead in "Megalopolis," a dystopian drama with a runtime of two hours and twenty minutes. Fans have praised his performance both on stage and on the red carpet.

In the movie, Driver portrays Cesar Catilina, an architect with the ability to manipulate time.

On the red carpet, Driver stood out in a timeless white Burberry tuxedo matched with a Piaget watch. During one instance, Driver was also seen helping Coppola up the stairs at the festival.

After the screening of the movie received a standing ovation. A tearful Coppola then dedicated the film to "hope and family," embracing Adam Driver and Giancarlo Esposito.

"Thank you all so much," Coppola expressed emotionally. "There are no words to express what this means to me."

“Cesar [Driver's character] says we're all one family,” Coppola noted.

“We are one. We are the human family. As you saw at the end, that's who we should pledge our allegiance to: our entire family and to this beautiful home, Earth. That is my wish. That it's the children who will inherit this beautiful world from us. The most important word we have, the most beautiful word in any language, is 'esperanza.' Hope. And that's what I dedicate this to.”

"Megalopolis" will be released in IMAX theaters later this year.
