Kim Kardashian, the 43-year-old Skims founder, took to Instagram to offer her followers a peek behind the curtain of her Met Gala attire crafted by Maison Margiela.

Kardashian posted a series of photos from her fittings to the final moments before stepping onto the red carpet.

Captioned "The making of…", her Instagram gallery opened with an intimate snapshot of her clasping hands with designer John Galiano. The series prominently featured the reality star's tightly laced silver corset that cinched her waist, a detail she noted made breathing a challenge.

In addition to the corset, Kardashian also showcased her footwear—a pair of strappy, clear sandals with an audacious platform but no heel.

Her sister, Khloé Kardashian, teased her in the comments, saying, “Damsel in distress. That invisible heel is wild! How did you manage? I definitely would have fallen.”

While the corset and shoes captured much attention, the conversation among her followers also turned to the knit gray sweater she donned over her metallic ensemble.

With some followers criticizing the addition, Kardashian explained that the sweater was a nod to the Met Gala’s theme, "Garden of Time." She described it as evoking "the aftermath of the wildest night of [her] life in a garden," resembling someone who "just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work."

Since the Met Gala, Kardashian has been spotted embracing more relaxed, comfortable fashion choices.

Just last week, she opted for an oversized blazer after a photo shoot, and she was also seen in a form-fitting black dress while attending a WNBA game with her daughter, North West.
