Universal and Blumhouse Productions are set to unleash a series of spine-chilling sequels and original thrillers in 2025, promising a year filled with horror delights.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 2," the sequel to the wildly successful adaptation of the popular video game, is slated to hit theatres on December 5, 2025. The original film, which became Blumhouse's highest-grossing release of all time, followed a night guard's terrifying encounters with murderous animatronics at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Other highly anticipated sequels include "M3GAN 2.0," featuring the return of the campy AI doll, now pushed back to June 27, 2025, and "The Black Phone 2," which will bring back Ethan Hawke as the chilling masked serial killer, now scheduled for October 17, 2025.

Blumhouse also has two original thrillers in the works: "The Woman in the Yard," directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Danielle Deadwyler, and "Drop," a fast-paced thriller directed by Christopher Landon and featuring Meghann Fahy.

With this packed schedule, 2025 is shaping up to be a banner year for Blumhouse, solidifying their reign as the kings of horror cinema.
