Will Smith hails Jada Pinkett Smith as his 'Gangsta Ride-or-Die' after 2 decades of marriage

Despite facing a separation in 2016, the couple's bond remained strong.

Will Smith recently expressed his deep appreciation for his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, referring to her as his "gangsta ride-or-die" in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The couple, who have been married for over 20 years, have weathered numerous challenges together, including a separation in 2016 and the infamous Oscars incident in 2022.

Smith emphasised that throughout their relationship, he has always felt Jada's unwavering support. He also mentioned his longtime friends and collaborators, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro, as his other "ride-or-die" figures.

The couple's journey began when they met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1994. Although Jada didn't land the role she auditioned for, their connection deepened, leading to a relationship and eventual marriage in 1997.

Despite facing a separation in 2016, the couple's bond remained strong. Jada revealed that Will's controversial actions at the 2022 Oscars, where he slapped Chris Rock, paradoxically strengthened their marriage.

The couple recently shared a heartwarming Easter photo with their family on Instagram, showcasing their continued love and support for one another. Smith's public declaration of Jada as his "ride or die" reaffirms their enduring commitment and deep bond.
