Sean Diddy Combs' alleged drug mule avoids jail time with plea deal

Brendan Paul, alleged to be Sean Diddy Combs' drug mule, has struck a deal that allows him to avoid jail time. Paul, who was arrested in March for cocaine and marijuana possession amid federal sex trafficking accusations against the hip-hop mogul, has entered a drug diversion program. This agreement means that upon completion of the program, the case against him will be dismissed.

Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, stated, "Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety."

A representative for the Miami-Dade State Attorney described this as a "standard offer to a non-violent defendant with no priors," according to TMZ.

Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, was arrested on March 27 at Opa-Locka airport. Miami-Dade police and Homeland Security agents raided Combs' homes around the same time, finding suspected cocaine and marijuana in Paul’s travel bags.

Paul was previously named in a civil sexual assault lawsuit by Combs' former producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who claimed Paul was Combs' “mule” responsible for acquiring and distributing drugs and guns. Despite his arrest, Paul’s connection to the 54-year-old artist remains unclear.

Attorney Bieber emphasised that they would handle all issues in court, not in the media. Miami-Dade police declined to comment.

In April, Paul faced felony cocaine possession charges, while an additional charge for marijuana-laced candy was dropped. He pleaded not guilty during a brief hearing on April 24. Initially, a hearing was set for May 17, but it has since been cancelled due to the plea deal.
