Music legend Cher, known for her unapologetic spirit and influential career, has recently confirmed her attendance at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, scheduled for October.

The announcement came at the premiere of a documentary about her longtime friend and collaborator, Bob Mackie.

During a December appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Oscar-winning artist discussed her unmatched achievement of having a No. 1 single on a Billboard chart in seven consecutive decades—a feat she humorously noted was matched by The Rolling Stones, but “it took four of them to be one of me.”

Cher also highlighted her pivotal role in shaping modern music with her 1998 hit "Believe," which popularized AutoTune.

Despite her monumental success, Cher has been vocal about her exclusion from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a point that once again sparked surprise during her talk with Clarkson. “You know what? I wouldn't be in it now if they gave me a million dollars. I'm not kidding you," Cher stated emphatically, adding, “They can just go you-know-what themselves.”

However, it seems opinions and circumstances can change.

Crediting her decision to attend to friends like David Geffen and Rock Hall chairman John Sykes, Cher is set to bring her quintessential flair to the ceremony.

“I'm gonna have some words to say,” Cher remarked about her upcoming appearance. “I'm gonna accept it in my Cher [way] — as me.”

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will air live on October 19 on Disney+, with a later broadcast on ABC and availability on Hulu the following day.
