Will Smith reveals his 'ride or die' crew at 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' screening
At a recent screening for his new film "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," Will Smith opened up about his tight-knit circle of support.
Speaking with ET's Kevin Frazier, the 55-year-old actor didn't hesitate to list his wife of 26 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, alongside long-time friends DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribiero as his most loyal allies.
"It's funny, I was just talking about this, I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn't look to the side and have a ride or die right there," Smith revealed during the Wednesday interview.
He added, "Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-die's I've ever had."
The couple last appeared in public together, celebrating Easter during a period that Smith described as tumultuous.
"Bad Boys: Ride or Die" promises to deliver not only the classic antics of detectives Mike Lowrey (played by Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) but also some fresh twists that expand the "Bad Boys" universe.
"We took an aggressive shot with this movie, we tried to keep it exciting -- we wanted to be [a] full-on popcorn movie but we wanted it to grow with the characters," Smith elaborated on the film's direction.
He promised that the movie would resonate with audiences who have grown alongside the characters, ensuring that the hijinks are age-appropriate yet thrilling.
Fans can also expect to see new faces, including Tiffany Haddish, who Smith praised as a relentless comedic force.
"Tiffany just was saying something different on every single take, right? And I can't, I so admire that, I can't do that. I can't adlib like that. A new scene, a new joke, a new idea literally every time the camera rolls," Smith admired.
The stellar ensemble cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and more.
