Prince Harry unveils future plans and motivation for impactful change with Meghan

Prince Harry also revealed why he "look forward to traveling more" with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are anticipating more travel opportunities to further their initiatives as the couple looks toward the future.

Prince Harry spoke to People Magazine on his recent three-day trip to Nigeria with Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex said, "It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change."

"There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward

to traveling more because the work matters,” the Duke added. “Whether it's the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle journeyed to Nigeria to advocate for the mental health programs aimed at youth under their Archewell Foundation. They also aimed to support the Invictus Games, which Nigeria participated in for the first time last year.

The Duke of Sussex shared with People Magazine, "I’m so happy with the growth of Invictus and to include Nigeria."

"You know what Africa means to me over the years,” Prince Harry continued. “It is a very, very special place, and to be able to include Nigeria now [in Invictus], I’m very happy."

The trip also strengthened Meghan Markle's connection to her ancestry.

In 2022, the Duchess learned from a genealogy test that she has Nigerian heritage, comprising 43 percent of her ancestry.

"It was incredibly memorable and special," Meghan shared her Nigerian trip experience with People Magazine.

"That alone is the best souvenir to take with us — all the memories we’ve made.”
