Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel roasted former Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger at the 2024 Disney Upfront presentation.

Iger kicked the ceremony off with a return to the upfront stage after 30 years. “Today we’re going to share with you the incredible projects that we’re working on,” he said, according to Variety.

“And later, Jimmy Kimmel will be out to tear them all apart. He’ll probably tear me apart too.”

Later, Kimmel, a frequent collaborator with Disney, poked fun at the industry, referencing the earlier start time for Amazon's presentation with a playful jab, saying “I heard Amazon left you guys on the porch,” Deadline reports.

Kimmel also addressed his own absence at the upfronts in recent years, blaming COVID-19 and the writer's strike before lamenting his lack of a good excuse for 2024.

The host then introduced the audience to “AI-ger,” a fictional concept he described as a cloud-based, permanent version of Bob Iger.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kimmel jokingly stated, “We uploaded him to the cloud so that we can live in peace and prosperity under the watchful AI of the Iger. All hail AIger!”

Never one to miss an opportunity for a good zinger, Kimmel also aimed his sights at the ongoing streaming wars. He jokingly stated that a potential Disney/Warner Bros. Discovery bundle would be a “streaming pile of s**t,” according to Variety.

Despite the comedic jabs, the upfronts also featured announcements about new projects, including a fresh take on the ever-popular “Bachelor” franchise and upcoming content from Marvel Studios.
