Reasons to be proud: Sukkur celebrates Defence Day
In honour of the day, many colourful events were arranged in the Navy Park near Rohri.

Pakistan’s Defence Day was celebrated in a befitting manner in Sukkur, as it was in other parts of the country. In honour of the day, many colourful events were arranged in the Navy Park near Rohri. The day began with hoisting the national flag. This was done by Commandant Shahbaz Rangers Colonel Zahid. A sailing and canoeing competition was won by Pakistan Navy’s Sajjid Shah. In the evening a traditional Sindhi Malakhara, a karate show and a musical show were performed. Students from Government Girls High School Sukkur, District Madrassa Board Girls High School Sukkur, Municipal Girls High School Sukkur, Rotary Public School Sukkur, Bahria Foundation College Khairpur and others presented tableaus and performed on national songs.
