This year's Cannes Film Festival is set to honor rising cinema stars Mike Faist and Sophie Wilde with the prestigious Trophée Chopard.
The luxury jeweler has chosen the actors for their notable contributions to the film industry, with the awards to be presented during a glamorous dinner at Carlton Beach on May 17.
Demi Moore, serving as this year’s godmother, will present the trophies to both actors.
The Trophée Chopard has been a highlight of the Cannes Film Festival since 2001, recognizing emerging talent in the movie industry.
Recipients are chosen by an academy consisting of past awardees and previous godmothers and godfathers of the ceremony. Notable past winners include Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, and Diane Kruger.
Mike Faist is currently appearing in Luca Guadagnino's Challengers alongside Zendaya and Josh O’Connor, and is set to star in The Bikeriders directed by Jeff Nichols, which also features Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer, and Norman Reedus.
Faist’s acting portfolio includes roles in West Side Story, Wildling, and Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game.
Sophie Wilde, known for her performance in A24’s horror success Talk to Me, will soon feature in Babygirl with Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson.
Wilde has also acted in Netflix's Everything Now and Boy Swallows Universe, as well as You Don’t Know Me, Tom Jones, The Portable Door, and Eden.
