CM launches modern skills plan
Vowing to train the youth in the latest demand-driven IT courses in fields like cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, graphic design, artificial intelligence, machine learning and game development in order to multiply their employability, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched a skills development programme on Monday.
She digitally inaugurated the CM’s Skills Development Programme along with students at the Government Technology College for Women.
“Under the project, 4,000 youth will be trained in 35 TEVTA institutes in different cities. The Punjab government will provide training in international standard advanced IT courses to the same number of students every year and the number will be gradually raised to 40,000,” she said.
The chief minister said free training in advanced courses is the right of youth, which was denied to them in the past.
