“Young Sheldon” set to feature “The Big Bang Theory” veterans

The upcoming series finale of "Young Sheldon" will reportedly feature a fan-anticipated reunion. 

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, who played the beloved characters of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory," will reprise their roles for the special occasion, according to People magazine.

Parsons, who has served as both narrator and executive producer for "Young Sheldon" since its inception, will reunite on screen with Bialik, who previously lent her voice to the adult Amy in two episodes. 

The exact nature of their appearance remains a mystery, but a sneak peek shared by CBS on Instagram offers a delightful glimpse. 

The photo depicts Parsons' adult Sheldon seated at a desk with a laptop, while Bialik's Amy stands beside him, holding a mug, hinting at a playful interaction between the characters.

This reunion is sure to excite fans who have followed Sheldon and Amy's journey from their awkward first meeting on "The Big Bang Theory" all the way to their Nobel Prize win in the series finale. 

People magazine also reports on Iain Armitage's reflections on the show's ending during an interview on "The Talk." 

Armitage, who portrays the young Sheldon, acknowledges the sadness of saying goodbye but emphasizes the positive and enriching experience of working alongside the cast and crew for seven seasons.

The "Young Sheldon" finale, airing May 16th on CBS, is expected to be an emotional rollercoaster. 

According to People magazine, the episode will explore the future of the Cooper family, including Georgie Cooper's (Montana Jordan) potential storyline dealing with the death of his father, George Sr. (Lance Barber), which was foreshadowed on "The Big Bang Theory." 

Viewers can anticipate a poignant and humorous conclusion that offers a glimpse into the future of the brilliant young scientist, Sheldon Cooper.
