Jennifer Lopez walked the Met Gala red carpet solo on Monday night, despite co-chairing the prestigious fashion event.

Her husband, Ben Affleck, was absent due to filming commitments in Los Angeles.

Affleck's representative confirmed his absence to E!, stating he is currently on set for "The Accountant 2." Photos taken on May 4th and 5th verify his presence in Los Angeles.

Multiple sources have emphasized that Affleck's absence is not a reflection on the couple's relationship.

An Entertainment Tonight source described their marriage as "going well" and highlighted their mutual support for each other's careers.

The source further stated, ""Jen and Ben are doing well and are very happy together."

Affleck's preference for privacy has been acknowledged. In Jennifer Lopez's documentary, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," Affleck discussed how media scrutiny played a role in their previous breakup.

He admitted a desire for more privacy, saying: "'When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst for that was the amount of scrutiny around our private life,' he says. 'I had a very firm sense of boundaries, initially, around the press.

While Jen, I don’t think objected to it in the way I did, I very much did object to it. Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.’ And then I sort of realised it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and like, ‘Well I don’t like the water.’ We’re just two people with different approaches, trying to learn to compromise.'"

JLo stunned the Met Gala red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli gown, while Affleck remained in Los Angeles to continue filming.

Despite his absence, sources close to the couple confirm their marriage remains strong.
