Martha Stewart breaks podcast rule to get information about Taylor Swift

Martha Stewart couldn't resist mentioning pop star Taylor Swift during a recent episode of her podcast, "The Martha Stewart Podcast." 

She wasn't supposed to discuss Taylor Swift during a guest appearance by Donna Kelce, mother of NFL tight end Travis Kelce.

The episode, dedicated to Mother's Day, featured a conversation between Stewart and Donna Kelce about motherhood, fashion, and, of course, Travis Kelce. However, things took a turn when Stewart seemingly broke a self-imposed rule.

"I know I was begged not to mention Taylor Swift," Stewart admitted to Donna "but I just wanna say, you always look so great with her in the box when she was at the games with you."  referring to games where Taylor made appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games to support Travis, her boyfriend.

Stewart then confirmed she'd met Taylor before, adding, "And she's lovely. So good luck with that because that is some situation." hinting at the potential challenges and adjustments that come with a celebrity relationship and  offering well wishes to Donna.

Donna responded diplomatically, "Well, you know, you never know. Time will tell, but I know that they're both friendly. They're both generous. They're both loving. They're both caring individuals." Stewart then chimed in, "And they're both adults!" expressing her excitement

The conversation about Taylor Swift wasn't entirely unexpected. Earlier in the podcast, Donna, without directly mentioning Taylor, discussed Travis's podcast venture with his brother Jason. Here, she hinted at Taylor's positive influence, stating, "They found out through the podcast that it worked even before Travis's significant other."

While Donna avoided in-depth discussion about Travis and Taylor's relationship, she did express her approval of Travis as an individual. She praised his fashion sense and his genuine desire to make people laugh.

The episode also highlighted the supportive nature of the Kelce family. Donna spoke about the positive influence various mentors had on her sons, including Travis and his brother Jason Kelce. She further revealed that Taylor has integrated well with the family, with Donna expressing her happiness about their bond.
