Journalist allegedly manhandled by Marwat’s associates for asking ‘tough’ question
The atmosphere turned tense outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Wednesday as associates of firebrand PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat reacted aggressively to a journalist's probing question during Marwat's media address.
The incident unfolded when a journalist confronted Marwat with a question regarding alleged attempts to secure the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) by ‘begging’ to PML-N leader Khawaja Asif and National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
Marwat, visibly agitated, interrupted the journalist, demanding proper language usage and ultimately prohibited further questioning.
"You are a beggar… I curse a journalist who uses foul language, you will not be allowed to question me in the future," Marwat retorted.

He expressed disappointment over the lack of support from fellow party members Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub, accusing them of hindering his access to Imran Khan.
Despite initially being nominated by Khan as the PAC chairman, Marwat's nomination was later revoked due to criticism from within the party, and Sheikh Waqas Akram was appointed in his place.
Marwat alleged that Faraz opposed his appointment, citing concerns raised by the PML-N and even claimed that the Saudi ambassador had intervened against him.
"I don't want anything to do with this committee," Marwat declared, distancing himself from the PAC amidst the internal discord within the PTI.
This latest episode adds to a string of controversies surrounding Marwat, underscoring the ongoing factional tensions within the party.
