‘Game of Thrones’ star Ian Gelder passes away at 74 following battle with cancer
British actor Ian Gelder, best known for his portrayal of Kevan Lannister in "Game of Thrones," passed away on Monday due to complications from bile duct cancer at the age of 74.
His partner, Ben Daniels, shared the sad news on Instagram, writing, "It is with huge sadness and a heavy heart broken into a million pieces that I’m leaving this post to announce the passing of my darling husband and life partner Ian Gelder."
Daniels further explained that Gelder was diagnosed in December, and despite providing full-time care, "neither of us had any idea that it would all be so fast."
