Met Gala model Eugenio Casnighi fired for being "too hot”
An Italian model who went viral for his presence at the 2023 Met Gala claims he's been "fired" from the 2024 event for being too distracting. Eugenio Casnighi, who sent the internet buzzing after appearing in the background of Kylie Jenner and BLACKPINK's Jennie's interviews, has taken to TikTok to spill the tea.
"I just got fired from the Met Gala," Casnighi revealed in a Tiktok, sharing photos of himself assisting Kylie on the red carpet. He claims to have been under NDA previously, but now that he's been let go, he's ready to dish.

According to Casnighi, he's worked as a greeter at the Met Gala for the past two years, but was abruptly told his services weren't needed this year. He alleges the event's organisers fired him for overshadowing celebs he was assigned to assist. "They said, 'You made it about yourself, we can't have you work there anymore'," he claims.
The model expressed frustration at the hypocrisy, noting that the company hires models specifically to draw attention on the red carpet. He alleges he was punished for doing exactly what his job entailed.
Casnighi doesn't hold back on sharing his Met Gala experiences. While he describes Kylie Jenner as "nice," he reveals that Doja Cat and Bad Bunny left him underwhelmed. On the other hand, he raves about Blake Lively and Emma Stone's kindness.
Casnighi's story offers a juicy glimpse into the drama behind the Met Gala's glamorous facade.
