High-level US delegation meets Pakistani officials

US Acting Under Secretary John Bass underscores commitment to stable, secure, and prosperous future for both nations

United States Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs John Bass led a delegation to Pakistan and met senior government officials, a statement said.

According to Acting US Mission Spokesperson Thomas Montgomery, Bass discussed a range of regional and bilateral issues, including US support for Pakistan’s economic stability and bilateral priorities for regional prosperity and security.

He underscored the US commitment to a stable, secure, and prosperous future for both nations.

The Express Tribune reported that Bass had met with Acting Foreign Secretary Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The US delegation included Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst and US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome, Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its X account.

“A productive discussion on all aspects of bilateral relations was held. The two sides reaffirmed the commitment to enhance cooperation in the areas of trade, investment and regional security,” it was added.
