Justin Bieber says career ruined by collaboration with Wizkid

The Canadian pop sensation did not specify how the collaboration resulted in his career’s decline.

Justin Bieber was previously praising Wizkid and Tems for their musical talents. However, it seems he has changed his tune about the Nigerian music scene.

In a recent Instagram post, which has since been deleted, Bieber expressed frustration about his career's alleged decline.

He specifically blamed Wizkid for this decline, stating that he regrets joining the remix of Wizkid's song "Essence," which featured Tems.

The original version of "Essence" was on Wizkid's album "Made in Lagos" and featured Tems.

The remix, released in August 2021, included Justin Bieber in the lineup.

The remix was a huge success, topping charts and being named one of the best songs of 2021 by Time Magazine.

Bieber directly addressed Wizkid, stating that his career has not been the same since he collaborated on "Essence."

Following this, Bieber posted a selfie of himself crying.

Neither Wizkid nor Tems has responded to Bieber's claims.

It's worth noting that "Essence" was one of Wizkid's biggest hits, helping him gain international recognition. The song has also won several awards, including BET plaques and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Global Music Performance.
