PM urged to prioritise girls’ education
On the eve of the conference on national education emergency, renowned Pakistani international mountaineer Nyla Kyani has urged the prime minister and all policy practitioners to prioritise allocating additional resources for girls' education and students in marginalised districts.
As a trailblazer in her own field, Nyla recognised the power of education in shaping futures and bridging the gap for those most in need. “Let us join forces to ensure every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to reach new heights,” she emphasised.
It's worth noting that last month, prompted by the concerning figure of 26.2 million out-of-school children (OOSC) nationwide, the recently appointed education minister, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, advocated for declaring an 'education emergency' to tackle the issue.
