JoJo Siwa says her iconic bow persona is gone for good
JoJo Siwa, the former child star known for her vibrant bows and bubbly personality, has officially left that persona behind. "She will never come back, but I will never hate her," Siwa, now 20, told Us Weekly at the 'Dance Moms: The Reunion' premiere. "I'm always going to be proud of her. That kid got through some s–t."
Siwa rose to fame on 'Dance Moms' before signing with Nickelodeon, where she captivated young audiences with her music and shows. Now, she's ready for a more mature image, embracing a new era in her music career.
"People have made dramatic changes, absolutely," Siwa explained, referencing her transition. "But nobody has made — in my generation — this dramatic of a change... nobody has gone from zero to 100 within my generation and age range."
Her recent appearance at the iHeartRadio Awards, where she sported a Kiss-inspired look, and her new single "Karma" highlight this stark transformation. Siwa even funds her own music videos for complete creative control.
While forging ahead with her music, Siwa is also revisiting her past. The upcoming Lifetime special 'Dance Moms: The Reunion' will see her reunite with former costars to discuss their experiences on the show.
