UK royals mark Prince Louis' sixth birthday without traditional photo release

Prince William and Princess Kate have broken with tradition by not releasing a new picture of Prince Louis to mark his 6th birthday 

This change is surprising, given the couple's consistent release of new photos for Louis' birthdays since 2019. 
The images, often taken by Kate herself, have become a cherished way for royal fans to celebrate the young prince.

Despite the lack of a new image, some remain hopeful that William and Kate will acknowledge Louis' birthday later today.  

In recent months, the royal family has faced sensitive challenges, including Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. It's possible this has influenced the decision to forgo the usual birthday photo tradition.
